What does a 00YY date mean?

When the birth date, death date, or burial date is a two-digit year (YY), Connect will insert "00" as the first two-digits of a four-digit year (YYYY) so you will know which dates need to be updated. For example, the deceased Joe Smith has a death date of "87". When Jack looks up the death date of Joe Smith, he sees a death date of 0087 where 00 represents the two-digits that are missing from the year. Jack does a little research to find out if Joe Smith died on 1987, 1887, or 1787. Jack learns that Joe Smith died in 1887 and Jack uses Modify Existing Plots to replace 87 with 1887 as the death date.
