How does the timesheet approval process work?

When an employee submits a timesheet, Connect will determine which approval process to assign to the timesheet. The approval process assigned directly to the employee receives first priority.

If the employee is not assigned to an approval process, Connect will use the approval process assigned to the employee's department in the Payroll application. If the department in the Payroll application is not assigned to an approval process, then Connect looks for the approval process that is assigned to the employee's department in the HR application.

If Connect does not find an approval process for the employee in the employee's record, in the employee's department in Payroll, or in the employee's department in HR, the timesheet is not assigned to an approval process and the timesheet is submitted directly to Payroll.
