How do timesheet notifications work? (Connect Online) (Managers)

Connect Online Timesheets

Look up the different types of notifications generated by the Timekeeping app. Users can use My Dashboard in Connect Online to view Timekeeping notifications. The Timekeeping notifications will let users know when it's time to submit a timesheet or when a timesheet has been approved. Managers can receive notifications so they know when their employees have submitted timesheets that need to be reviewed.

This is an example of a Timekeeping notification in the Notifications widget on My Dashboard. The Notifications widget will show the five most recent notifications. Clicking the See All Notifications link will show a complete notifications list.

Adding the Notification widget to My Dashboard

Open My Dashboard in Connect Online. Click the button titled Add Widget and then select Notifications. See the help topic titled How Do I Add/Remove Widgets?

Do this...

1. Open My Dashboard.

2. Click Settings .

3. Select Notifications.

 

The Notifications widget displays on My Dashboard. It will display the five most recent notifications.

To view all of your notifications, click the link titled View All Notifications.

Submit Timesheet notification

Connect generates the Submit Timesheet notification on the last day of the pay period. This notification is sent to employees to remind them to submit their timesheet.

Resubmit Timesheet notification

If you return a timesheet to an employee, Connect will send a notification to the employee. The reminder will show up in the Notification area on the employee's dashboard. It lets the employee know that their timesheet was declined and they need to resubmit their timesheet.

Timesheet Approved for Manager in Period MM/DD/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY notification

If you're a manager and you review employee timesheets, you will receive this notification when one of your employee's submits a timesheet. The notification lets you know the employee's timesheet is ready for you to approve or return to the employee.
